what a weekend

After school Friday and all day Saturday I spent with most of the Shindig group camping at Martin Dies Jr. State Park, which is near Jasper, TX. It was really great. Eric and I tried to get some long exposures of the night sky to see more stars than were visible, and we got some good ones, but the sky was cloudy most of the night. The moos was almost full, too, which was really cool, because it meant we could go without flashlights most of the time. We all almost were killed by Tyler Stamps, who is a freaking beast. And also, I fell out of a tree (well, I guess the tree fell with me...) into a river, which was really exciting, and canoed for a few hours. Overall it was really awesome.

Sunday was really different. The sound system currently does not work in the junior high side, so somehow we ended up playing a very acoustic set outside in the YMCA parking lot. (I got to use a shaker! FINALLY.) I think it was really cool, even if the jh'ers didn't sing as much as I'd like them too. I came home and slept for a few hours, because I was exhausted from camping, then went back up to the church for ministry night, which wasn't as productive as I would have liked it to be, but there's not much you can do when the paint's still wet...

Erin and I are no longer dating. We met Sunday night and I ended the relationship. Don't worry, we're still friends, but it would be great if you could keep both of us in your prayers. Sorry if I sound short, I just don't want to post a lot about it for different reasons. I appreciate all the people who have shown us support, it definitely means a lot.

Countdown

I will be on one of the most amazing trips of my life in less than 2 weeks. Barcelona! Paris! I can't even believe this is actually happening! ("THIS IS HAPPENING!") Who wants souvenirs? :)

My parents got back from their anniversary cruise trip to Cozumel today! I'm glad they're home, I missed them! I'm still waiting to hear all about it. THEY BROUGHT ME LEGIT MARACAS! hmm...They may have to pop up somewhere in the acoustic set Sunday ;) muhaahhahha!1!!

Today my art teacher decided that she wanted to yell at me. I think I handled it relatively well, but I don't know. At the beginning she asked me to tell her what I "really think about the her." Not a good invitation. I told her I wasn't going to, because I try to respect my elders, then she started walking away and I said, "and I would expect some respect in return." Which made her decide we should talk in the hall. ohh dear.

Anyway! Europe in two weeks! I'm already wearing my cheap watch and I'm stocking up on film :)
